“Living is an art. Yoga enhances the quality of one’s life. Hence it is an art. It lifts up one’s thoughts and enables one to face life’s difficult situations happily and with equanimity.”

PUNCHPASS REGISTRATION

We’re using an online registration and payment system called Punchpass for our Winter/Spring Session (January 5–April 12, 2025), which I hope will simplify the process for everyone. The Winter/Spring dates are available in PunchPass. Just click on the “Show 20 more days button” to see more.

PLEASE NOTE:

In the past, we have asked you to sign up for a particular class and attend that class for the entire session. With this new system, you will be able to attend any class with any teacher, of course at an appropriate level. Those who are new to the Iyengar system must attend Level 1 or 50+ classes. Those who have at least 3 months of consistent instruction in Iyengar Yoga with a certified teacher, may attend Level 2 classes.

HERE IS WHAT YOU’LL DO.

1. Sign up for an account with Punchpass
At the top of our Punchpass page, click on Create Account
2. After creating an account you will choose and buy a pass.
Click on Purchase a Pass
3. Reserve the classes you wish to attend, whether you are attending in person or on Zoom. Classes may be reserved well in advance, as early as now, or as late as a minute before class, but please make your reservation as early as possible. Each class you plan to attend must be reserved separately.

To reserve a class or see the full Winter/Spring Session, go to our Punchpass Schedule page. Punchpass will email a Zoom link to Zoom students. If you forget to reserve your class, you will be asked to do so before joining the class.

You may cancel a registration before the class begins, but not after. If you do not cancel, you will be charged for the class. If you cancel a class, you will have a credit in your account that you may apply to another class to replace the one you missed. However, the credits are only for the current session and do not carry over to the following session.

If you would like to set up Punchpass up on your phone, go here for instructions: IYENGAR Yoga.

I think you will find Punchpass easy to use. If you have any questions, please ask, and we can figure it out! I’m getting lots of good help from the Punchpass people. Since this is very new for us, I’m sure there will be glitches. With patience, though, I think we’ll get it all worked out.

Hope you can join us in January.
Warmly, Constance

Houston Iyengar Yoga Studio has been my sanctuary for many years. The classes have helped raise awareness of the link between my physical and mental fitness by strengthening my body while sharpening my mental focus. Anxiety and stress is replaced with calm and serenity as I have learned to connect with my breathing. A bonus experience consists of the many wonderful people I have met. HIYS and the teachers here are an essential part of my life.
